Christian holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), where he graduated summa cum laude with a thesis recommended for publication. He has completed coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Civil Law at the same university’s Graduate School. Additionally, he completed specialized training programs in Government Contracting, Government Contracting Arbitration, and Administrative Law for Arbitrators at PUCP’s Center for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (CARC-PUCP).
Professional experience
Christian’s practice focuses on domestic and international arbitration under the rules of the ICC and the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), across sectors such as Construction, Infrastructure, Civil Law, Contracts, Torts, Retail, and M&A.
He has assisted in drafting arbitral awards in domestic and international commercial arbitrations, as well as in government contracting disputes and public-private partnerships (PPPs). Furthermore, he has collaborated in preparing over thirty expert reports and legal opinions submitted in domestic and international arbitrations before institutions such as ICSID, ICC, CAIP, the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce, CCL, and CARC-PUCP, as well as in court proceedings and Dispute Boards.
He is a Member of the CEIA-40 Steering Committee of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA) and a Member of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB).
Academic Activity
Christian has served as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Obligations, Torts, Commercial and Investment Arbitration, Effective Legal Communication, and Procedural Strategy & Oral Advocacy Seminar at PUCP School of Law.
He has also served as a Teaching Assistant for Civil Law VI: Obligations, Civil Law VII: Contracts (General Part), and Civil Law XI: Torts at the Universidad de Lima Law School.
