Miguel holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). His practice focuses on Arbitration, International Investment Law, and Property & Commercial Law.

Professional experience

Miguel has participated in domestic and international arbitrations under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), as well as ad hoc proceedings under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Arbitration Rules.

He has experience across sectors including construction, mining, insurance, oil & gas, real estate, aviation/airports, the food industry, agriculture, and irrigation.


Academic Activity

Extraordinary Member of the Themis Civil Association at the PUCP School of Law. He previously served as Editor-in-Chief of THĒMIS-Revista de Derecho and was a member of its Board of Directors.

Member of the teams representing PUCP at the XII Edition of the International Investment Arbitration Competition (co-organized by American University Washington College of Law and Universidad del Externado de Colombia); the XVIII Edition of the International Arbitration Competition–MOOT UBA (co-organized by Universidad de Buenos Aires and Universidad del Rosario); and the XVIII Edition of the International Arbitration and Commercial Law Competition–MOOT MADRID (organized by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and UNCITRAL).
