Miguel holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). His practice focuses on Arbitration, International Investment Law, and Patrimonial Civil Law.
Professional experience
Miguel has participated in national and international arbitrations under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), and Ad Hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
He has experience in the construction, mining, insurance, hydrocarbons, real estate, airport, food industry, agriculture, and irrigation sectors.
Academic Activity
He is an Extraordinary Member of Themis, a civil association of the PUCP Law School. He served as Editor-in-Chief of Themis – Law Review and was a member of its Board of Directors.
He was part of the team that represented PUCP in the 12th Edition of the International Investment Arbitration Moot organized by American University and Universidad Externado de Colombia. He will also represent PUCP in the 18th Edition of the International Arbitration Moot – MOOT UBA, organized by the University of Buenos Aires and Universidad del Rosario; as well as in the 18th International Commercial Arbitration Moot – MOOT MADRID, organized by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and UNCITRAL.
