Omar is a lawyer from the Law School of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). His experience spans free competition/antitrust, regulation, administrative law and civil law, representing clients from the port, retail, energy and cement industries. He is fluent in English.
Professional experience
Associate in our BFE+ Regulation and Competition practice area since 2018. Moreover, Omar served as a legal analyst in the Technical Secretariat of the Commission for the Defense of Free Competition of INDECOPI, the Peruvian competition authority.
Academic Activity
Omar is a teaching assistant of the Competition Law course at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). In that capacity, he also teaches the Regulation and Free Competition/Antitrust course at Universidad del Pacífico. He was a teaching assistant of the Special Contracts course delivered by the PUCP.
Moreover, he taught the 20th University Extension Course on Competition and Intellectual Property Policies at INDECOPI, the Peruvian competition authority.
Omar is a former member and served as director of the Research Committee of the IUS ET VERITAS civil association, which publishes the PUCP Law School review.
